SCOPE:
As there is an increasing focus on bribery, business reputation, sustainability and growth are at risk. The effects of bribery are felt globally, and acts of bribery can result in significant criminal penalties. For this reason, the implementation of necessary controls and the operation of ARYS should be kept under observation.
For better control, better information on the subject is needed. To this end; It is essential to learn how to ensure the ISO 37001:2016 anti-bribery management system (ARYS), the framework for prohibiting, preventing, detecting and reporting bribery and being the best known internationally.
Led by an experienced tutor, this course introduces anti-bribery concepts, explains the benefits of an ARM and the key requirements and content of ISO 37001:2016. All sectors, including public, private and voluntary/not-for-profit sectors

PURPOSE: An anti-bribery management system (AMS) based on ISO 37001 will provide a framework within your organization to address (prohibit, prevent, detect, report and address) any bribery that may occur. In this process, it takes into account national laws, regulations and the requirements of internationally recognized best practices.
The courses follow a process that will help you become familiar with the standard, learn how to implement a DRM in an organization and how to audit it.

Upon completion of this training, participants will have knowledge and be able to apply the following topics:
• Roles and responsibilities of the auditor and audit team members
• ISO 37001: Auditing principles and techniques for 2016 DRM
• Planning, execution, reporting and follow-up of audit activities

  • Qualification requirements for auditing and certification of anti-bribery management systems
  •  Interviewing skills and techniques to extract audit evidence.
  •  Qualifications and behavioral requirements of the auditor

Course Duration: 3 or 5 days depending on the situation of the person in need.

Prerequisites for the competence and suitability of persons attending this course: Who should attend?

  • Everyone responsible for anti-bribery management:
  • Those with responsibilities such as ethical conduct, corporate governance, risk and compliance, management systems, anti-bribery measures, human resources, purchasing and managing/selecting business partners, especially those operating in high-risk bribery environments.
  • Those responsible for anti-bribery enforcement activities,
  • Internal and external management systems auditors who are new to anti-bribery practices
  • Those who want to learn more about bribery and anti-bribery management systems.

Electability

  • A prerequisite before taking this course will be to successfully pass the ISO 37001:2016 Awareness Training.
  • In addition, the delegate needs 2 to 5 years of work experience.

Section Plans, there are 2 basic sections; In the first one, ARYS information will be explained, and in the second one, audit procedures will be explained. The structure is as follows:

  • General promotion;
  • Anti-bribery principles, vocabulary (terminology) and ISO 37001 requirements;
  • Stage 1 audit (including document review);
  • Audit planning;
  • Process control and audit skills;
  • Writing non-conformance reports and audit reports;
  • Audit tracking.

Tutorial Notes, procedure

There is a balance between knowledge-based presentation, discussions, exercises and case studies. About one-third of the time is spent on activity-based learning.
A mock exam paper will be discussed throughout the lesson to help students become familiar with the style of questions.

Case studies: Given in the presentation.

Teamwork: Delegates will be placed in their appropriate teams to carry out a variety of course exercises and role-play activities.

Each member is expected to take turns assuming the role of Team Leader.
These studies will require a formal presentation by the Team Leader.

Continuous Assessment: While attending this course you will be subject to BAHADIR’s formal assessment which will include two separate elements:

  • Delegates will undertake a variety of case studies, either collectively or individually and during a simulated audit exercise, whilst each delegate undertaking will be assessed continuously by course instructors throughout the duration of the course.
  • Each delegate will pass a formal examination.
  • If a delegate passes the continuous assessment but does not pass the exam, they can retake the exam at a later time.
  • If a delegate fails the exam with a particularly low score, they are advised to retake the entire course.
